It seems kind of silly not to make 80k now, doesn't it? I have one, maybe two more chapters, though... (Watch. I'll get to 79,990 or something. *g*)
You missed the excitement before. At the cusp of the climax, in the middle of a word, the QuickPad's batteries died. I ran through the house, trying to find working AA batteries, and had to take apart two clocks and a flashlight before I found enough. Whew!
