Is it an absolute jinx to say that I think Budget Cuts is turning out to be the best short story I've ever written in my life?

Maybe I should write more short stories. I might even submit this one somewhere. Hmm. Maybe "Strange Horizons"? I've never submitted anything there... (yet, save for a poem.)
