Word Count!
Word counts for my current WIPs...

It is hard to write when something else lies heavily on your mind. That something else is my impending move, with or without a job, struggling to work out budgets so I can pay off the credit cards asap, and generally trying to make it so I'm in a good position by, oh, June.
It's hard to concentrate on anything else. Part of me thinks I shouldn't concentrate on anything but what I need to do; that I can let everything else fall by the wayside until the worst is over and I can concentrate on writing again.
That's the practical thing to do, at least, and I'm not sure being so worried about something beyond my control (other than the fact that I can put my best face forward at interviews and hope for the best) is fair to the story.
I probably shouldn't have signed up for NaNoWriMo, but I did. And I intend to write during November, if only to keep what little sanity I have left.
It's not writer's block. It's life. And I don't like it. At all.
